Everything is set for the second round of the Italian F4 Championship at the Autodromo Piero Taruffi di Vallelunga, in what already promises to be a thrilling weekend on paper: 44 drivers from around the world will line up across 4 races in total (three qualifying races and one final), representing 13 different teams.
Among the entries of championship leaders Prema Racing there is a new addition, with British driver Roman Kamyab joining an already strong line-up led by Hasan Alp Aksoy, current leader of both the overall and Rookie standings. Also racing for Prema Racing are Ferrari Driver Academy driver Niccolò Maccagnani, Romanian driver David Cosma-Cristofor, McLaren Driver Development Programme driver Christian Costoya, Williams Driver Academy representative Oleksandr Bondarev, and Chinese driver Kwan Kingsley Ho Zheng.
The German squad US Racing returns to action with Ary Bansal, one of the key contenders in the front-running battle and currently fourth in the standings after the opening round. He is joined by Oleksandr Savinkov, Luka Sammalisto, Arjen Kraling, as well as Spain’s Edward Robinson, Italian driver Ludovico Busso, and German driver Noah Killion.
Thanks to David Walther’s double podium in Misano, Maffi Racing arrives as the third force of the championship, fielding the same line-up as in the opening round with the Danish driver alongside Poland’s Igor Polak.
Van Amersfoort Racing will field three cars at Vallelunga: Thomas Bearman, younger brother of Formula 1 driver Oliver Bearman, Polish driver Alexander Ruta, and Brazilian driver Pedro Alves de Lima.
Four cars for French team R-ace GP, featuring Mercedes Junior drivers Andy Consani and Kenzo Craigie, along with Hungary’s Tamas Gender and Britain’s Emily Cotty.
There is a new entry in Jenzer Motorsport with Artem Severiukhin joining the Swiss squad, a driver already familiar with the team and who also competed in the Italian F4 Championship in 2025. Returning drivers include Bader Al Sulaiti, Levi Arn, Nicolas Cortes and Elia Weiss.
German outfit PHM Racing will field three cars with Oscar Repetto, Roland Kuklane, and Italian ACI Team Italia driver Iacopo Martinese.

Five cars for Trident Motorsport, the Italian team in its first year in the category, which confirms its full line-up with Florentin Hattemer, Augustus Toniolo, Beco Bernoldi, Dominik Simek and Lyuboslav Ruykov.
Romanian team Real Racing returns with Dane Knud Nielsen, who already scored points in the opening round in both the overall and Rookie classifications.
Debutant team of 2026 Alpha54 Racing brings its Argentine duo, Thiago Palotini and Federico Diaz Quaglia.
Three drivers will represent AKM Motorsport: Fabricio Fogaca, Evan Michelini, and another ACI Team Italia representative in F4, Supercorso Federale ACI Sport 2025 winner Vittorio Orsini.
Finally, PA Racing, the third and final team on the 2026 grid with logistical support from AS Motorsport, fields Italian driver Ginevra Panzeri, who recently joined the Pro Racing Academy under the guidance of Giancarlo Fisichella and Marco Cioci.
The weekend begins on Thursday with the opening sessions and first track action in the collective tests. Drivers took to the circuit in groups across multiple sessions from 1:00 PM to 6:20 PM.
At the end of the day, the fastest reference times were set by Luka Sammalisto, Artem Severiukhin, David Cosma-Cristofor, Edward Robinson, and Alex Ruta.
The weekend’s schedule:
On Friday, May 22, the event officially gets underway with free practice sessions in the morning, the drivers will be split in 2 sessions:
Session 1 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM and from 12:50 PM to 1:20 PM
Session 2 from 9:10 AM to 9:40 AM and from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM
Qualifying will then take place in the evening:
Session 1 from 6:10 PM to 6:30 PM
Session 2 from 6:40 PM to 7:00 PM
Based on the results, the three race groups will be formed. The fastest driver overall will be assigned to Group A and will start from pole position in two races, while the fastest driver from the other qualifying session will be assigned to Group B and will start from pole position for Race 1.
Race 1 (Groups B and C) will open the competitive action of the ACI Racing Weekend at Vallelunga on Saturday, May 23, at 11:40 AM. Later that day, at 6:00 PM, the Italian F.4 Championship drivers will close the schedule with Race 2 (Groups A and B).
On Sunday, May 24, the single-seaters of the championship promoted by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion will once again open and close the day’s schedule: Race 3 (Groups A and C) at 9:00 AM, followed by the Final at 3:45 PM featuring the top 36 drivers from the first three races.
All races will run for 25 minutes plus one lap and will be broadcast live with Italian commentary on ACI Sport TV (Sky channel 228, Tivùsat channel 52 and www.acisport.tv), as well as streamed on the ACI Sport TV YouTube and Facebook channels.
English-language live coverage will be available on the Italian F4 Championship YouTube and Facebook channels, in addition to the championship’s extensive international broadcaster network covering the season worldwide.
